Occuring every two years, NanoTox is a regular meeting with the community continuing the series of international nanotoxicology meetings. Previous iterations have been held in Miami (2006), Zurich (2008), Edinburgh (2010) and Beijing (2012). A key focus and of particular interest to NanoClassifier is that “commercialization of emerging nanotechnologies influences societal responses to their development and applications, and demands for better evaluations of their effects on the environment and human health”. The meeting in Antalyla served as an opportunity to present and share experiences with experts from around the world with a particluar interest on nanotoxicology. The timing of the meeting served as an excellent opportunity to develop the work program, in conjunction with initial engagement and dissemination to the broader community.
